Ormana Village is one of the most beautiful spots to go if you wish to connect with nature. We provide you with a tranquil tour of the Taurus Mountains’ foothills, where the area’s pristine natural setting safeguards its rich cultural heritage.
With the assistance of our knowledgeable guides and a breathtaking view of the forest and mountains, we pick up our esteemed guests from their accommodations. Our first stop is ‘Avasun Village’, also known as Defne village. Then, we go to a height of around 1,200 meters, where you can take in beautiful views of Green Canyon, Green Lake, Manavgat, and Side. We will be exploring ‘Ürünlü’, famous for its ‘Buttoned Houses’ that have a history that dates back to 700 years. The word “buttoned houses” refers to structures built of cedar wood that are interlocked as a framing, supported by piles of stones, and constructed without the use of mortar or cement. These are known as Buttoned Houses because the outside frame resembles buttons. We can view and enter the more than 300 historical homes that have survived to the current day by challenging the time. And if you’re fortunate, squirrels will join you on your trip to the Buttoned Houses. We arrive in Altınbesik National Park, home to Turkey’s biggest subterranean lake, after taking a little break at a local café. The national park’s Altinbesik Cave was founded in 1966, and research about it is still ongoing. You can view the stalactites and stalagmites, travertines, and bridges within by taking a boat tour of the cave’s 200-meter lake section. The walls of the lake area and the cave each has underwater lighting. We also enjoy the beauty of this place with a 25-minute boat tour. After our visit to the Ormana, one of the area’s natural attractions, we have a sumptuous lunch at a nearby restaurant. You may enjoy rabbit fillets, pizza, or trout prepared in Ottoman ceramic pots. After savoring one of these delicacies, we arrive at the village of “Sarı Hacilar,” which has a history of about 800 years and was designated a protected area by the Board of Monuments in 2011. The village was established by the proliferation of guard family residences built to safeguard the Camel Train road. We begin our return trip after visiting the Ottoman Mosque, which is more than 650 years old. We will drop you off at the meeting point and say goodbye to each other until our next activity.
